Sloppy Joes

About a dozen years ago during a period of ‘try a new recipe weekly’ I came across this recipe in a Taste of Home magazine.

4½ lbs. ground beef
1½ c. chopped onion
2¼ c. ketchup
3 T. prepared mustard
3 T. Worcestershire sauce
2 T. vinegar
2 T. sugar
1 T. salt
¾-1 tsp. pepper
12 hamburger buns

Cook beef and onion until meat is browned and onion is tender; drain. Combine ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, vinegar, sugar, salt, and pepper. Stir into beef mixture and heat through. Serve on buns.

Yes – I have eaten & made sloppy joe’s but not this receipe – sounds good!

I do enjoy the history – of when – where – you found this receipe. The background makes it MOST interesting!

    thanks thanks m
