…officially began forever ago, but just in case you weren’t aware, there are only 16 more school days left!
**This is mostly a just-for-me post, but if you feel like reading, go right ahead.**
Do pregnancy and laziness go hand-in-hand, or do I just have a natural talent? It seems like our lives have been super busy recently (although I think it is mostly just Bret’s that has been busy, but the busy feeling has rubbed off on me), and, consequently, tons of things that need to be done are left undone. Like dinner(s). and cleaning. and dishes. oh, and homework…
I’m looking out at my kitchen/living room, knowing that I really need to do something about the disaster, but I just can’t seem to bring myself to get to work. It is actually quite suffocating in here–even the air seems stale. I thought that if perhaps I made a list a tasks, I might be more motivated to get things done. Currently all I want to do is make and eat caramel corn, but that is rather counter-productive. Instead, this is what I shall do:
- clean living room (all the terrible piles of papers, dying plants)
- clean kitchen (dishes, garbage, floors, freezer/fridge, microwave)
- clean bedroom (clothing disaster, fabric disaster, change sheets & make bed)
- bathroom (actually not that bad…just spruce things up)
- dinner (quiche or pad thai? or maybe something else)
- make notecards for HUM261 test
- finish my bird project for 3D design
- finish my beach glass project for 3D design
- start and finish my 3D model for 3D design
- rejoice that I have finished all my 3D design homework and only have one more class before it is over!!!
- plan out meals for the next few days (or weeks, if I’m feeling super ambitious)
- finish the binding on my book
- buy the materials for the cover of my book, and then make it
- there has got to be more than this, but apparently it is not important enough for me to remember right now. that’s ok, since this list is going to take me forever as it is.
This post is mostly just for me, but go ahead, read:
I wish I had a more permanent place of residence that I could justify spending money to decorate, but I don’t, and it may be a long time before I do. (and even then, how much could I really justify spending? not enough.) In the meantime, I will just look at beautiful pictures of beautiful homes, and wish all homes and photography could be this wonderful.
no matter where we end up living, there has to be at least one room (preferably numerous) that is full of windows. Light light light!!! oh sooo perfect for taking tasty photos! (Provo apartments=bad light
)
white furniture may not be the best idea, but doesn’t it make the accent colors look amazing?
more delicious windows!! and cute colors! oh light and airy rooms, you were meant to be photographed…
I don’t know if these frames really matched, but how easy would it be to get a bunch of mismatched frames from a thrift store and paint them the same color? love it!
life is great.
here’s why:
1. adella, sharon, and i went up to provo for the weekend. i love provo, and a break from the zp was definitely enjoyed and probably needed. can i just say that this weekend is in the top 5 i’ve had all summer? of course i can. it’s true, and it’s my blog. haha suckas! anyway, adella and i spent time with these boys. fun time, fun times. i took some pictures, but film, so i still need to get them developed and scanned. also, i got to spend some time with hannah, which is always good. and…that’s it. i don’t feel like elaborating. ok, well i want to, but i don’t know how to write it without making it sound lame.
2. i have 11 more days until i’m done with work. less than two weeks!!! i’m excited, but there’s still a lot i want to get done before i leave, so i don’t really feel like the remaining time will go by slowly.
3. i received a letter from jericho. i think he must have too much time on his hands because i sent him a letter just a few days ago. people aren’t supposed to respond that fast, are they? and he even sent me pictures! (in case you didn’t know, pictures really are the way to my heart. [and in my world, pictures=photographs])
4. i also got a thank you letter from these people. if my weekend was cake, then that was totally the frosting. except i don’t really like cake or frosting very much. i’d just like to share this part: “you showed such patience with the children–they look great!!” yes, that’s right, i have patience and children photo skills. see mom? i can do this.
ok, now for the decisions part. i’m getting my hair cut when i go home, and i’m trying to decide how short to cut it. it’s getting really annoying, and i miss being able to blow-dry it in 30 seconds. i know how short i want to cut it, but i don’t want to be shunned by the masses. and by masses i mostly mean the male population that seems to think every girl should have super long hair. so here’s the decision: be shunned or have hair i hate. oh so difficult.
the ac has been broken for a long time and it just barely got fixed. now my room is absolutely freezing. i feel like i’m back at idaho home, where mom keeps the temperature set at like 60° or something.
