Not-As-Sweet-As-It-Looks Dress
I made this dress from an old men’s button-up shirt, and just used the original buttons/button holes in the final dress. Much better than sewing my own. I decided to make this without a pattern and just copy a dress I already had (mistake #1), and then I decided to fully line it (mistake #2). Needless to say, it was ridiculously frustrating, and multiple times I wanted to take the scissors to it. But it is done! and it is cute! Yay!
I love the idea behind using an old shirt (which I actually got for free at a thrift store..bonus) and using the parts of the shirt to make sewing easier and faster (like the buttonholes), but obviously I need to figure out a less stressful and complicated pattern. We’ll see what I can come up with.
